M.Tech AE Soil and Water Engineering is a two-year engineering program. This programme trains students to assess the risks of natural hazards such as wind earthquakes landslides etc. It helps them analyse, plan, and construct foundations and support structures to ensure minimum collateral damage in critical situations.
The program aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in the sustainable use of soil and water resources to support agriculture and other industries. This course focuses on water and soil conservation, which are two of the most important resources on Earth. Water is vital for human life, as it provides a medium for growth. Moreover, the soil is non-renewable, so it is susceptible to rapid degradation due to erosion processes.
